I didn't want do this speech like many before me. Getting up in front of the congregation in a tie is a painful experience. Once I realized that my flame Converse would match the rest of my outfit though, everything was OK. I just don't feel like me without my Converse. So here I am.
Many good things have come from Confirmation class. Great friends. Great experiences. Going to the Marsh's cabin, and spending time with Pastor Rhodes and the other kids, and at the river, were great fellowship times for me. I think that my faith has grown since I came here from Washington State. Through each crazy adventure God was with me, and I survived. I went away from home for a week, and never thought I would enjoy it. I did some great puzzles, and didn't fall off the wheel at confirmation camp! I even, miraculously, passed my Confirmation test. Throughout the past two years, through every adventure, I've learned that God is always with me. Whatever the future holds, I know I can survive because God will be with me then too. |
