Welcome to the twelfth year of Bethel summer camps! We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of returning campers and welcome the opportunity to meet many new friends this summer! You can register online at www.bethelwinchester.com or mail your forms to the church office. We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to share in ministry with your children over the years, and we look forward to celebrating with them this summer as well.

Adventure Camp
Grades 6 - 8
June 14 - 18 (Overnight camp) |
Adventure Camp is designed for students who desire an active, challenging and rugged experience in God’s creation. This camp will include overnight camping, rafting, a ropes course and team building activities. There will be devotional time, Bible study, an opportunity to serve, and an end-of-the-week family cook-out. Food and some supplies provided. Packing list will be sent upon registration.

Discovering Jesus Through Art & Music
Ages 3 - 5
June 22 - 26 from 9 am - Noon

One story, plus five days, plus art, music, nature, snacks and thirty preschoolers equals an opportunity for amazing faith development. We will “Discover Jesus” as we explore how He served others and how He wants US to serve. We’ll go home each day with an idea of how we can become servants in our own homes and families.

In Partnership with the Winchester Rehab Center...
Follow The Leader
Ages 5 - 10
August 10 - 14; 9 am - Noon

This camp, specifically designed by occupational therapists, will support children with unique challenges and special needs. As we enjoy God’s creation and experience His love for us, we will provide opportunities for making friends, engage in cooperative and interactive play, and increase confidence and independence while improving play skills. Best of all, we'll experience God’s incredible love! After registering, a detailed health assessment will be sent to you to identify any special needs that we will need to address.

Godly Play On The Go
Volunteers: Older high school students through adults
July 27 - July 31; 10:30 am - 11 am

It’s like Vacation Bible School, brought to the park! Our team will go into the community to share Bible stories, music, and crafts with kids participating in the Boys and Girls club and neighborhood children. We will also assist with lunch preparations served by the Salvation Army Mobile Canteen located at the park. We will meet at Smithfield Park near the Douglass Community Center at 10:30 each morning.

Soccer Camp ... and so much more
Grades 2 - 5
July 27 - 31; 9 am - 3 pm (Bring your lunch!)

This camp includes a morning of soccer drills, instruction and scrimmage games with Pat Anderson, boys’ soccer coach at Sherando High School, followed by lunch, devotions, games, art projects and other activities that will help volunteer organizations in the community. The afternoon is filled with Christian music instruction led by Laura Lofton, director of the Blue Ridge Choristers. Both Laura and Pat have been with us since this camp began! On Friday evening, the campers will share their musical gifts at a concert, which is open to the public. Refreshments and a soccer expo will follow.

Vacation Bible School
Ages 3 through 5th grade
July 12 - 16; 5 pm - 8 pm |
We’re exploring deep into God’s Word with summertime fun! We will hear Bible stories, create art projects, and sing some great songs.

Bethel Summer Camp Policies
Registration Process - Registration is on a first come, first served basis. You'll receive a postcard confirmation in the mail notifying you of your enrollment in camp or that you have been placed on a waiting list. If you are on a waiting list and a place becomes available, you will be notified by phone. Each day of camp, you will be asked to sign your child in and out at the registration table.
Scholarship Information - Bethel offers scholarships for campers on a first come, first served basis. Contact the church office for additional information. Call (540) 662-3245 or e-mail us at office@bethelwinchester.com.
Weather Policy - If it becomes necessary to cancel or postpone a day of camp or a camp related event, a message will be recorded on the churchs answering machine (662-3245).
